Our Exporting Process
Starting in Nice and Rungis for ultra-fresh products, we will pack your order for shipping using temperature-controlled, thermal boxes that are designed to keep the contents fresh and frozen. Once your order is prepped, it is then sent to our transit agents, who organise flight bookings and ensure everything is in order to export your items abroad. Our experienced team will always liaise with the vessel’s agents, then, once the delivery arrives in the country, your agents will ensure the yacht provisions reach the vessel as quickly as possible.
Why Export From Europe?
Many yacht chefs and interior team wish to receive the same level of service and consistent premium quality products they have access to whilst they’re sailing around the Med. However, not all of these products can be sourced outside of the EU – that’s why exporting is so useful for yacht provisioning!
Keeping Our Carbon Footprint Low
One of the downsides to exporting the best quality food worldwide is the impact on the environment. At Gourmet Deliveries, we take environmental issues very seriously and we’re always striving to reduce our carbon footprint. We recommend placing larger, less frequent orders in order to avoid any unnecessary travel. We also advise clients on how to reduce their own carbon footprint by ordering their provisions well in advance to reduce the distances travelled for delivery. Remember, you can always flash-freeze food products to ensure your items stay fresher for longer!
